Little Red Balloon – George’s Hot Air Safari

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back to our blog! Here’s a party that we did for George’s 1st Birthday Celebration.

This is the story of how we arrived at this special fusion theme. They kind of liked the idea of having a Noah’s ark but instead of the sea they wanted it in the air. Thus, a hot air balloon and safari theme was conceived! We were extremely excited to take on this project and merge these 2 popular themes together. We absolutely love doing fusion themes cause they always bring out a whole new look to the evergreen themes. For those of you that are planning to throw a party, don’t hesitate to throw your ideas our way and we will work our magic for you. *winks*

The event was held at Ritz Carlton’s Chihuly Room and party size was for a cosy 30 pax. Together with our partner Dreamflavours, we made it happen!!

Sitting arrangements for this event were 2 long tables for the guest in front of the backdrop. We made organic balloon clouds and suspended them over the dining tables to give the effect of dining under the skies. Hot air balloon cut outs were also added to the ceiling decor.

We also styled the dining tables for this event. Animal cutouts, mini luggages and miniature hot air balloons were hand crafted for this event. Photos of baby George and family were also displayed on the table together with the decor.

Customised place mats for each individual guest.

Each guest also had a voting ticket for Doljabi to see what baby George would pick.

The hot air balloon in the center of the backdrop was the largest ever that we made till date and the “basket” was used as the dessert table display.

They not only had 1 but 3 birthday cakes for little George. What a lucky little boy he is! Check out the details on the huge cake in the center made by Pulse Patisserie that fit our theme exactly to a tee!
